Compliance Training on Fraud, Waste and Abuse

In an effort to combat fraud, waste and abuse, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requires providers who treat Medicare Advantage members to complete annual fraud, waste and abuse compliance training. Under this regulation, Magellan network providers treating Medicare Advantage members must complete training annually by Oct. 31. However, if you are enrolled as a Medicare provider with CMS and have completed the training as part of your enrollment process, you do not need to take the annual training.

Review and Confirm Your Training

Please perform the following two tasks:

  1. Complete a fraud, waste and abuse compliance training. If you are contracted to provide services to more than one Medicare Advantage Organization, you only need to complete the training once.
  2. Complete and return the Magellan Compliance Certification Form (PDF), or submit a copy of your certificate of completion from another Medicare Advantage Organization, to Magellan at the fax number or address on the form.

Already Completed Compliance Training?

If you already have completed fraud, waste and abuse compliance training through another organization or as part of your Medicare enrollment process through CMS, please indicate this on Magellan's Compliance Certification Form (PDF) and return your completed form, or submit a copy of your certificate of completion, to Magellan at the fax number or address on the form.
