Provider Satisfaction Survey Scores Released
Because your input is vital to our improvement in how we do business, Magellan assesses your satisfaction annually through our Provider Satisfaction Survey. In 2007, the Tristate Care Management Center surveyed providers in its commercial and Medicaid clinical networks; response rate was 17 percent (1,073/6,358). Providers’ overall satisfaction was 85 percent.
Key Findings
Areas of highest satisfaction among providers were satisfaction with the Provider Focus newsletter, the provider handbook, availability of clinical staff, and timeliness and accuracy of claims payment.
However, providers indicated they were less satisfied with how we handle certain functions, such as appeals and complaints. Your feedback is valuable to us in keeping our attention on areas that represent opportunities for improvement. These areas are the focus of action plans to improve your satisfaction in this year.
