Provider Satisfaction Survey Scores Improve
Results of the Tristate Care Management Center’s annual survey of providers in its commercial and Medicaid networks showed an overall provider satisfaction rate of 95 percent in 2008, an increase from 85 percent in 2007. In total, 266 providers gave us their feedback; which represents a 15 percent response rate.
Key Findings
Areas of highest satisfaction among providers were satisfaction with Magellan’s language translation services, Provider Focus newsletter, provider handbook, availability of clinical staff, and timeliness and accuracy of claims payment.
However, providers indicated they were less satisfied with how we handle certain functions, such as appeals and complaints.
