Helping Children Achieve Better Outcomes

When it comes down to it—member treatment is all about the outcome. Has my patient’s level of functioning improved? What do I need to do to help my patient live a better life? And, especially when you are working with children, finding the right service mix and closely following treatment progress are of vital importance. To aid our providers with this essential element of member care, Magellan recently implemented a proven outcomes-based tool—called the Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) assessment—for use by residential treatment and other behavioral health providers in Nebraska.
