Active Network Providers
Magellan providers are licensed and credentialed to high industry standards and have documented experience in the treatment of mental illness and/or substance abuse.
We require our network providers to be both credentialed and contracted with Magellan. Our credentialing process is among the most rigorous in the industry and each of our network providers are required to undergo recredentialing every three years unless otherwise required by a customer or applicable law. Magellan's Quality Improvement Program includes site visits conducted at many individual and group practices as well as facilities to directly assess the quality of care and services delivered to our members. Depending on the services needed and geographic area served, Magellan refers members to contracted and credentialed practitioners in private practice, practitioners in a group practice or provider organizations.
