Through View Authorizations, you are able to view up to 12 months of authorization determinations issued to you or your practice for behavioral health or substance abuse services.
When Magellan is required to authorize to a practitioner within a group rather than to the group practice, authorizations to the specific practitioner may not be viewable by other group users. This is also true for provider organizations.
You are able to view and print authorization letters online. To access an authorization letter, find the appropriate authorization and click on the View Letter link that appears to the right of your authorization information.
What is an MIS Number?
An MIS number is the number with which Magellan uniquely
identifies a contracted network provider. Magellan assigns
MIS numbers to individual practitioners, group practices,
and organizations.
Does View Authorizations take the place of my Authorization
Letter?
No. Magellan's authorization letter to you is Magellan's
notification of its authorization decision.
