Claims Inquiry


Types of claims
All non-EAP claims paid by Magellan are available through Claims Inquiry. If Magellan is not responsible for paying claims, you will need to contact the claims payer directly for claims information.

Necessary information
You will need to know the member/patient's:

  • Name
  • Identification number
  • Date of birth
  • Beginning and ending dates of service

How long will my claims be viewable in Claims Inquiry?
Claims are generally available in Claims Inquiry one day after they are entered into the adjudication system and will remain in Claims Inquiry for 18 months. Please note, claims must be formatted correctly before they can be entered into the system, and there often is a minimal time lag between when the claim is submitted and when it is entered into the adjudication system.
