Are the features HIPAA compliant
and confidential?
Yes. All features on the website are compliant with HIPAA requirements and
the site is fully secure. However, inbound and out bound email is not encrypted,
therefore, protected health information should not be sent to our Contact Us
email box.

Receive more referrals from Magellan.
With over 60 million members nationwide, your opportunities for referrals as
a Magellan in-network provider are certainly enhanced as we refer exclusively
to our in-network providers unless there is a special need for which we do
not have a qualified provider in a specific geographic area.
However, Magellan does not guarantee referrals to providers. Members are referred
to providers whose specialties meet the member's need and are in close
proximity to the member's home or work site. When a member calls requesting
referrals, a brief intake assessment is conducted to determine need and then
the care manager conducts a zip code search to identify appropriate providers
within the member's geographic area.

Why isn't the "Treatment Request Form (TRF)" available
for downloading?
The TRF can be completed on-line.
Because the "paper" TRF must be submitted to the specific Magellan
Regional Service Center that authorizes care, and because Magellan authorizes
care for both local and national accounts from service centers across the country,
the paper TRF is actually specific to the client. Consequently, a "generic" [paper]
TRF is not available on-line.

Do I need to load anything special on my computer
to use the website?
No. These new features are Internet-based; so all you need is access to the
Internet and a username and password.

How can I get more help?
Each of the new online tools feature "Help" links to assist you in
completing that particular screen or in understanding the data being viewed.
In addition, many applications feature a question mark next to the data entry
box. By either placing your mouse cursor over that question mark or clicking
on the question mark, you will find additional instructions for completing
the required field.
