Magellan is pleased to offer a variety of online training resources you can use to help enhance both the clinical and administrative aspects of your work as a Magellan behavioral health provider. We offer several categories of Web-based training. Check our Frequently Asked Questions for more information.
Magellan will continually add new training content and formats as additional provider training needs are identified.
Autism Authorization Tool and Training
Under a collaborative agreement with the Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD), Inc., Magellan is implementing Skills®: The Online Autism Solution for use by all of our contracted providers who treat children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in California. Providers of applied behavior analysis (ABA) services on our panel in California will be required to use the Skills toolkit by March 1, 2014, and the ATEC (Autism Treatment Evaluation Checklist) form will no longer be accepted for this purpose. Additionally, you no longer will need to access the Request Autism Spectrum Disorder Authorization application separately as it has been added to Skills.
If you have not yet used the Web-based Skills toolkit, we believe you will quickly find it to be an effective, efficient way to design and manage your individualized treatment programs for individuals with autism. To help orient you to Skills, please review the provider training below on how you can access and use Skills to support your treatment of ASD youth.
Our Targeted Training modules are additional self-paced trainings that focus on specific topics of interest in the area of behavioral health service delivery. Providers, consumers and family members may find these courses helpful.
